Day 350: It’s Worth To Live a Set Apart Life (Amos 7-9; Revelation 7)

Darling, I know it’s difficult sometimes. It’s hard to stay faithful when everyone around you seems to be living as they please with no worries or fear of God. You doubt your beauty because you’re not covered in a facade of makeup, fitness trends and the latest clothing trends. The snapchats of your friends partying while you’re at home on your own make your heart hurt. A bad breakup because you refuse to have sex threatens your resolve to save yourself for marriage. Or maybe the pain of an illness, the death of a loved one, job layoffs and finals week have worn you down to the core.

Because when it seems like you’re the only one living a set-apart life in a world running so quickly away from God, there are moments when you wonder if it’s worth it.

In those moments, I encourage you to read (and memorize!) this passage:

“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands…And I said to him, ‘Sir, you know.’ So he said to me, ‘These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple.

And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.'” -Revelation 7:8, 14-17

Reading this always gives me chills. That is what is waiting for us, y’all, when we reach those heavenly gates. This is worth it, so please don’t give up. Stay the path till the very end.
