Day 103: Trust in God’s Timing (1 Samuel 13 -14; Luke 14:1-24)

But Samuel said, “What is this you have done?” Saul replied, “I saw my men scattering from me, and you didn’t arrive when you said you would, and the Philistines are at Micmash ready for battle.”  -1 Samuel 13:11 (NLT)

Can you relate to Saul? In a situation when you need help and everything you were depending on is slipping away; when you’re asking God for help but there is still no answer, no relief, no change in circumstances…do you make your own decision or continue to trust God?

Saul decided to take matters into his own hands and to perform the sacrificial burnt offering himself instead of waiting on Samuel, as instructed (1 Samuel 10:8).  Like Saul, we all face  difficult, high pressure situations, but it is in those moments that we have to make the choice to remain obedient and faithful.

The consequences from a lack of patience, belief, or trust in God far outweigh waiting on God’s timing. Remain watchful, continue to pray, dedicate quiet time to listen to God, and continue to study the Bible daily.

Wait on God – He will fulfill all the promises He made to you… not a word will fail!
